Laptop Rules
  • Log in only using your own login and on your assigned laptop only
  • Always carry a laptop with 2 hands!!!! Don't carry your laptop and a mouse at the same time!
  • Never walk around with your laptop once you've logged in
  • Laptops are to be used for educational purposes only.
  • No streaming of music!
  • Use laptops with care. Report any problems or you might be 'charged'
  • All district Acceptable Use policies are in effect
  • Do NOT give your password to anyone for any reason!
  • At the end of the period
    • Log off/ shut down - wait until you see a black screen before you shut the monitor.
    • Make sure the computer is plugged into the correct slot/using the correct cord

Wiki Rules

  • Use it wisely. Do what is right
  • All school and district rules apply.
  • Our wiki/blog is an extension of our Classroom space.
  • Never EVER give out or record personal information on your wiki/blog. Don’t give out your phone number or home address.
  • Your blog is a public space. Be sure that anything you write is something you are proud of. Be impeccable with your WORD.
    • Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the Word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others.
      Use the power of your Word in the direction of truth and caring
  • Do not use email
  • Log in only as yourself
  • Do NOT give your password to anyone for any reason!
  • Do not alter in any way any pages other than your own unless is specifically part of an assignment
  • Any altering or use of your own wikipage or another's in a way unbecoming of an LBMS student will result in demerits, loss of computer privileges, detentions, referral to the office, as well a call to parents.



Laptop RX
Problem: Someone is locked on the computer.
Solution: Power the laptop off by holding the power button in for 5 to 10 seconds or until the screen goes black. Wait a couple seconds and restart

Problem: As soon as you log in, you get a message that the computer will turn off in 5 minutes.
Solution: Don't wait 5 minutes. Power the laptop off by holding the power button in for 5 to 10 seconds or until the screen goes black. Wait a couple seconds and restart

Problem: You can't log in; you get a message saying something about not enough resources available
